My Story
In college, I studied Worship Leadership, pursuing a music degree that I could use in ministry. In the midst of the stress of school and not getting much sleep, I began to have other symptoms pop up, such as unexplained weight gain, inflammation, bloating, extreme fatigue, drastic mood swings, worsening body image, hair thinning on my scalp, body hair growth, and irregular periods. After going six months without a period, I had my first OBGYN appointment to see what was going on.
At first, they just told me to take Vitamin D. But a year later, I was finally diagnosed with PCOS. And of course, the only options offered to me were birth control, Metformin, or Progesterone.
After trying Metformin and Progesterone, my symptoms only got worse. I decided to take things into my own hands. On January 1st, 2018, I changed my diet completely, going gluten and dairy free, and removing refined sugar and fried foods from my diet. I focused on eating nutrient dense, whole foods, and building balanced meals. I also stopped running long distances, which was making my inflammation and cortisol worse, and started doing more low intensity exercise like walking and strength training.
Within two weeks, I felt like a whole new human being. Since then, I’ve been learning more and more about holistic health and ways to heal the root causes of my PCOS naturally. A big part of that journey was my mental health journey, learning to heal from childhood wounds, trauma, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-hatred, and the like.
Today, I am passionate about helping as many women as I can heal from their chronic illnesses and autoimmune disorders like PCOS. I want to help them feel as good as I do now and find that they can be free to flourish through healthy habits, exercise, and nutrition.

Since a young age, I’ve enjoyed competing in sports such as gymnastics and swim team. I was homeschooled along with my two younger brothers, which allowed us time to try many different extracurricular activities. I loved music and sang in the choir at my church. I also learned to play piano from my Grandmother, and then picked up guitar in middle school.
When I quit swimming in high school, I continued lifting weights and running to stay in shape. I found that when I exercised, I felt better mentally and, of course, physically.
During my teenage years, I began struggling with things like fatigue, mood swings, irregular periods, and body image. I believe these were early signs of my PCOS.
